background
After completing her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama, Taylor earned her master’s degree in counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary where she gained experience working with adolescents, college students, adults, and couples presenting with anxiety, depression, grief, childhood trauma, and spiritual struggles. After graduation, she had the privilege of serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking as they wrestled through past trauma. She has completed advanced training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, trauma-informed practice, Prepare/Enrich Premarital Assessment, and Gottman Level 1.
Taylor believes we serve a God who delights to meet us in our sorrow and wounds, and she hopes to create space within the counseling relationship to experience His healing and comfort. She is encouraged by evidence of God’s care for His suffering people in Psalm 40:17, “As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!”.
