Because we aim to offer affordable Christian counseling to the Charlottesville area, we have created a plan to help all families, no matter their income or insurance policy!

Felisa Needham, M.A., Resident - $70
Bruce Goldsmith, M.Div, MAR, Pastoral Counselor - First session free, $70 every session after
Jacob Giganti , M.A., Resident in Counseling - First session $35, $70 every session after
Jason Kent, M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor - $120 individual, $120 couples. Accepts insurance: Aetna, Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Oxford, and Oscar Health.
Eva Carlisle, M.S.W., Supervise in Social Work - $90
Taylor Patterson, M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor - $110
Gigi Elliot, M.A., Life/Marriage Coach - $120 individual, $150 couples
Morgan Clare, M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor - $110
Maryann Piirto, M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor- $125 individual, $135 couples
Emily Maximus, M.A., Licensed Clinical Social Worker -$125 individual, $125 couples. Accepts insurance: Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Oxford, Aetna, and Oscar Health.
Lynn Schwenk, M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor - $130 individual, $150 couples
INSURANCE
Emily Maximus and Jason Kent accept Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Oxford, Aetna, and Oscar Health. The rest of our clinicians are out of pocket providers. Insurance reimbursement however may available.
We also accept FSA and HSA cards for counseling services as long as they are distributed by a major credit card company. We cannot accept FSA and HSA cards for life coaching or marriage coaching services.
*RCC staff, besides Emily Maximus and Jason Kent, are out-of-network providers. However, if you see a counselor within RCC and your policy covers counseling you will likely be reimbursed for some of your session costs. Life Coaching and Marriage Coaching will not be reimbursed by insurance. RCC will provide you with invoices, and you, the client, can send those into your insurance company for reimbursement. RCC cannot guarantee reimbursement. You, the client, are fully responsible for the session fee. Before your first session:
Call the customer service phone number listed on your insurance card
Inform them that you want to see an out-of-network Counselor, who is licensed in the commonwealth of Virginia, and inquire about reimbursement for these counseling appointments.
Ask, “What is the best way to submit my claim with superbills?”
Make sure you understand your benefits and don't be afraid to ask questions!
CHURCH COUNSELING SCHOLARSHIPS
Church Counseling Scholarships are available for numerous churches throughout the area. A counseling scholarship means that your local church has a budget to help cover the costs of counseling for you. If you are unsure if your church has this scholarship, ask someone in leadership.
